A Cosmetologist Speaks on Hair and Health | Black Women OWN the Conversation | Oprah Winfrey Network

– I’ve been in the hair
industry for 30 years, and I have seen a
tremendous amount of women losing their hair
to all of these things. So to me, it’s sad
when you have someone sitting in your
chair that’s only 25 and they can’t grow their hair. So it is an epidemic,
and we should be more educating our women on it. We need to be more
mindful just of what we’re putting on ourselves,
in our bodies, and everything. And this is coming from– I’m a Master Cosmetologist. Very skilled in product
knowledge and everything. My hair changes all the time. Colors, ways, short,
long, whatever. But just love who you
are on the inside. That’s the most important part. [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC PLAYING]
